Thurber

BIO: Thurber is a 6 year old male golden retriever who was picked up as a stray on a busy highway. He was in pretty bad shape so he had been out for a few days. But what a difference a nice soapy bath and brushing will do. He is a great dog and seems like he is just a goofy golden. And now this big lug has a great new home to call his own. When mom and dad contacted us - they knew who they wanted and once Thurber met them, he wanted them too. In February mom and dad lost their sweet golden boy Jake to cancer. They are very sad and Jake will be sorely missed. However, Thurber is hoping that a few licks, wiggles and tail wags will help heal their pain. Both mom and dad are teachers, but mom only works part-time. Also they have a best friend pet sitter that already got Thurber's paw of approval. Now Thurber is celebrating a late Christmas with his new family and his huge box full of stuffed toys.
