Happy "Golden" Easter

Hi everyone!
My name is Latte and I’m one of AGA’s new orphans
You’reprobably wondering, “Why is Latte writing this message?” I must tell you– I’m veryexcited about Easter. I remember hearing about it, but never had the chance tocelebrate. However, this Easter I’ll be celebrating in style because I finally have a “Golden future.”
Latte, the Easter Golden.
What do you think? Not too shabby for an 8-year-old! I’m ready to kiss a bunny,go on an Easter “bone” hunt and hopefully find my forever family. Woof, Woof!

I wish everyone a Happy “Golden” Easter!

Love, Latte

P.S.- Mr. Easter Bunny has not been replaced, I’m merely his apprentice. Woof! Also, I must give props to Emmie Sue, for inspiring my outfit.

It’s My Birthday and I’ll Look Adorable If I Want To

“Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday handsome Banjo, happy birthday to me!”

Hi – it’s Banjo! And yes, I am talking about myself in the third person. But it’s my Birthday and I’m the king. Actually, my birthday was yesterday, but I ate too many treats, got extra loving from my family and played a little too hard. I’m exhausted from all the birthday celebrations but I did just turn 9-years-old, so it was totally worth it.

To be honest, my birthday was pretty amazing, but I think a big reason why I’m so happy is that it’s about to be five years since the best family in the world took me into their loving home, and made me one of their own. I have never felt so cherished, protected and wanted. My past is a distant memory, let’s just say it wasn’t a good life. However, my tail wags and my heart sparkles when I think about the fact that I was saved by the wonderful people at Adopt A Golden Atlanta. I am not only thankful to AGA for saving my life, but for also helping me find the perfect family; a family that truly loves me and has helped me overcome some issues and become the happy boy I am today. I wish I would have saved some birthday treats to share with the people at AGA but they were so tasty I couldn’t resist. Woof! Woof!

In other news, my birthday is next year on March 20…. Just kidding! The real news is that my boy Patrick, the most awesome human brother to ever walk the universe, made the UGA spring football team. Woof! I’m so happy. I guess you could say I’m a very proud DAWG!

Well, AGA — I just wanted to fill ya’ll in on my birthday festivities and wanted to say – thank you, again!

Lots of wet kisses and happy barks,

Banjo

P.S.- I would like to thank my dad, Dan, for an awesome birthday party. “Dan, you’re the man… I mean – you rock, dad!”

>Finnegan’s Got a Home!!!!!

>

I know you all remember me from the last few adoption days. I sat in front, the strong dark haired gentleman, I’m sure you’ll recall {I look like I might have an old classy Southern drawl}…. And everyone passed by me (I’m rather stoic, ah say – that is…. Reserved….) and went straight to the blond haired young bucks that were clambering for attention…..

Well guess what? I’m HOME now!!! My vet says I’m “gorgeous” and everyone says I’m the most handsome man they’ve ever seen. My family and I are head over heels for each other – and “right at home” in my new house is an understatement. I’m even showing them what an old professional like me can do when those pesky squirrels get in the back yard! I’m loving long naps and I’m velcro on Mom now that I’m home, too. I just knew my family would come one day – so I hung on tight – just for them.

Thank You all so much for helping me find my forever home!

Love,

Finnegan

>Seniors Rule! AGA Launches a New Senior to Senior Program

>

Effective immediately, all AGA orphans who are 10 years of age or older will be adopted to senior citizens (people 65 years +) at no charge.  We recognize how very special seniors are – both the human and dog variety – and we want to encourage adoptions by seniors who may be on a fixed income but would love the companionship of a senior golden. It’s a win-win for both dog and person.

If you have ever had the pleasure of owning a senior golden, you know how very special they are.  If you need more information on why adopting a senior golden may be for you or a relative, go to the top of the Orphans page on the website and click on the ‘Adopt a Senior’ article.  Then all you have to do is apply!
