Just Keep Swimming

Hello wonderful humans! My name is Daisy and I have some pretty awesome news to share with everyone. As you all know –summers warm weather is quickly approaching and our beautiful golden locks need some cooling off. Well, we are super excited because the awesome folks at Pet Lodge have been letting AGA orphans swim in their bone-shaped pool when it isn’t being used. They have always been the greatest, but they seriously earned some “cool points” for helping us have fun and stay “cool.” Below is a picture of me and my friend Jack playing in the pool.

“The sun was shining and the water felt great.”

Here is another great picture of Jack enjoying the pool at Pet Lodge.

As Dory from the movie Finding Nemo says, “Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim.”

Thank you Pet Lodge Pet Resort. You guys are truly “RUFF-tastic!” Get it? haha… Not only do I have beautiful looks and a wonderful personality, but I also have great sense of humor!    I’m still looking for my forever home and so is my bud Jack, so remember to check out the Adopt A Golden Atlanta site to learn more about us.

Lots of Golden Love,

Daisy

It’s My Birthday and I’ll Look Adorable If I Want To

“Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday handsome Banjo, happy birthday to me!”

Hi – it’s Banjo! And yes, I am talking about myself in the third person. But it’s my Birthday and I’m the king. Actually, my birthday was yesterday, but I ate too many treats, got extra loving from my family and played a little too hard. I’m exhausted from all the birthday celebrations but I did just turn 9-years-old, so it was totally worth it.

To be honest, my birthday was pretty amazing, but I think a big reason why I’m so happy is that it’s about to be five years since the best family in the world took me into their loving home, and made me one of their own. I have never felt so cherished, protected and wanted. My past is a distant memory, let’s just say it wasn’t a good life. However, my tail wags and my heart sparkles when I think about the fact that I was saved by the wonderful people at Adopt A Golden Atlanta. I am not only thankful to AGA for saving my life, but for also helping me find the perfect family; a family that truly loves me and has helped me overcome some issues and become the happy boy I am today. I wish I would have saved some birthday treats to share with the people at AGA but they were so tasty I couldn’t resist. Woof! Woof!

In other news, my birthday is next year on March 20…. Just kidding! The real news is that my boy Patrick, the most awesome human brother to ever walk the universe, made the UGA spring football team. Woof! I’m so happy. I guess you could say I’m a very proud DAWG!

Well, AGA — I just wanted to fill ya’ll in on my birthday festivities and wanted to say – thank you, again!

Lots of wet kisses and happy barks,

Banjo

P.S.- I would like to thank my dad, Dan, for an awesome birthday party. “Dan, you’re the man… I mean – you rock, dad!”

Toby Thanks AGA’s Online Shop

Hi everyone! My name is Toby, but my mom also calls me the“perfect son.” I earned that title a few days ago after buying my mom awesome AGA apparel from the GoldenGear online shop. She loved everything and the best part – I got lots of belly rubs and kisses.
My mom even said that when our family is ready to adopt another dog, it will surely be an AGA Golden. I bet my future dog brother or sister will get her more goodies from the AGA shop, too!
Thank you, AGA! You all are amazing at everything you do.
Woof Woof,

Toby

February’s Golden Gazette Inspired Ragan

After seeing the story about Crosby in the February Golden gazette, I thought I’d send you a photo we took of our 2010 AGA adoptee, Ragan (formerly known as Russett – one of the 2010 Red Hunter Group from McDonough), and his best bud, Walker, playing in the mud in the middle of our backyard landscaping project. We call it “Dogs Behaving Badly.”

Ragan is at the top of the photo. They had a blast!

Here is Ragan on a clean day.

I am wheelchair-bound, so both Ragan and Walker help me with everyday things. Ragan is especially great at picking anything up off of the ground and handing it to me – business cards, silverware, magazines, clothes – just about anything. He also loves to close the door for me when we come back inside the house. I’m a little leery of teaching him to open the doors; not that he couldn’t do it, but that he might just let himself out at will!

Goldens are such smart and loving dogs. It is amazing what a large amount of vocabulary they understand.

Chief is Going to the Beach for Good!

Dear AGA:

I wanted to tell everyone that my dad has decided to move back to the beach for good. WOOF, WOOF! I’m very happy. Also, thanks to my family at AGA. This great adventure I’m about to embark on, would not be possible without your help.

P.S. My dad is awesome! He takes me on a lot of walks; so much walking that it has even helped my dad lose some extra pounds. We love to talk during car rides and I also enjoy watching TV with him. If you watch really close, you may even catch my TV debut.

I love everyone at AGA.

Thanks for everything you do!

Jay and Chief
