SMILE - YOU'RE A GOLDEN!!! Our 2009 Calendar is waiting. Start taking that special golden photo! This year we want you to be the photographer. Take a great shot (or you may already have one) and enter it in our 2009 ADOPT A GOLDEN CALENDAR – the premiere calendar for rescued goldens. No donation is required but if you want to be assured of getting your golden into our calendar, months will be auctioned and the front cover will be auctioned… meaning we will sell months and the cover to the highest bidders. This may sound a bit mercenary but we need money to save these wonderful dogs and we have found this is a fun way to raise it. However, a bid is not required. Your shot could be selected by our judges for inclusion without a donation. But why take that risk? If you bid and your photo is selected, your donation is tax deductible and more importantly it goes to cover our medical costs for our dogs. Rules: A rescued golden must be in your shot and story needs to be about the rescued golden. It does not have to be an AGA rescue but those will get preferential treatment. No people allowed in the shot. (sorry, people buy this for the goldens and not the owners) Only high resolution digital shots can be submitted (remember film can be converted) Judges will pick the winners based on the photo, the story and the amount of the bid, if any.
