Yeller Senior - Adopted!
The last few days have been the worst in all of my 10 years. My owner took me to the place where animals stay when they don't have homes any more. Sometimes they get new homes and sometimes they don't and a 10 year old fellow like myself is generally on the "don't" list. And then what happens? I was terrified to even begin to think of what would happen to me. I couldn't move or eat the food - I could only hide in the corner of my cage and be scared. Most people want a young, playful dog - I wasn't that. They want dogs that are purebred - I wasn't that either. I was just an older "mix" golden that wasn't wanted. Then, one day, some kind person at the shelter called AGA and asked if I could come to them and have help finding a new home. The AGA people said "yes" and soon I was riding away from the shelter to see the dog doctor and to get ready for a new life. I still can't believe it and even though things are still pretty scary for me, I will try really hard to be myself again and put my best paw forward. Thank you a million times AGA for wanting me. Gratefully, Yeller
