BIO:
GOOD NEWS! My co-sponsor team's donations are way over the top!!! We were off to a great start with $200 donated by Rusty Pyrda and then $750 from John Pendergast! It just took my breath away and made me smile for the first time in a long while. That means I can pay my doctor for my heartworm treatment and have some left over for my other medicines. Wish I could "high five" you fellas (high four in my case) because you are my buddies, pals and best friends and I thank you! I am a "throw away" dog. "Too old," my owner said to the shelter people. Sick with heartworms and infected eyes and ears, matted hair and sad from having lived a life of neglect and loneliness. My owner said, "put him down". I know what that means! Part of me said maybe that's all that's left for me but another part said I really love to be around people and I am only 9 so there must be something else. The people at the shelter agreed with me - there was more for me and they called AGA who sent a driver. It took all day for them to make that long drive and I started to hope, really hope, a new home and family might be waiting for me. I'm called a flat-coat retriever and I've only ever lived outside with other dogs. I love people and I love to cuddle up and be petted. I've heard stories about soft beds and having your own dish and a nice collar and leash for walking trips. I've heard about living inside where it's cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter. I've heard about playing games and having treats and sleeping on your person's bed. I need so much. Could you help me? The heartworm medicine will cost $750 and I need sponsors to send donations. I need to be healthy again and ask if everyone who loves dogs like me to send me wishes for good luck! I promise you I am worth it and will do my best to live every day that will make you proud you helped me. Gratefully, Juno
