My story started with a little detour — but it led me exactly where I was meant to be. I’m a three-year-old girl who was surrendered by my breeder to different Golden Retriever Rescue. But, when they didn’t have an available foster home, AGA welcomed me in and helped me start my next chapter.
While I once lived with another dog, everyone soon realized I’d truly thrive as the star of my own show. And that’s when something wonderful happened, my foster family decided they didn’t want to let me go. After spending a few months together, they made it official and adopted me!
Now I get to keep my name, my family, and my cozy home. My retired mom and work-from-home dad make sure I’m rarely alone, and every day includes a three-mile walk (I’m getting very good on my leash). I also take my job of guarding the yard from delivery drivers very seriously. When the work is done, I enjoy couch cuddles and bedtime snuggles with my people. I even have a “granddog” friend who visits sometimes for playdates.
From foster girl to forever family member, I’m living the life I was meant to have, and I couldn’t be happier. Love, Arya
