Hi everyone, I’m Arya, a sweet 3-year-old golden-hearted girl ready to start my brand-new life! Not too long ago, I was surrendered by my breeder to another Golden Retriever rescue. They were small and short on fosters, so they asked if AGA could step in to help, and here I am, already feeling so loved and cared for. I’m a happy, affectionate girl who loves people and warms up quickly. I’m house-trained, gentle, and oh-so-sweet.

I think I would do best as being your one-and-only. I like the attention, toys and food all for myself – what can I say, I am just a girl who knows what she likes! I can be a little selective on my furry friends. I prefer other dogs that are calmer and/or older that will give me my space. Walks are one of my favorite things, though I have to admit… squirrels are very interesting. I’ll need a little leash practice (and maybe a few treats for motivation), but I promise I’m eager to please and love learning. A fenced yard would be wonderful so I can explore and play safely. At just about 55 pounds, I’m the perfect size to be playful and snuggly. If you’re looking for a loving companion who’s loyal, gentle, and full of joy, I think we might be meant for each other.
