From stray days to strong strides — hi, I’m Blondie. I was just a year old when I was picked up as a stray in South Georgia. AGA stepped in and gave me a chance, but it turns out my journey needed a little extra care. At my first vet visit, they discovered my hip needed special attention, and before I knew it, I was heading into surgery. Recovery wasn’t quick, but it was filled with love. I had two amazing foster families who went above and beyond — helping me through surgery, months of physical therapy (both at appointments and at home), and teaching me all sorts of new skills along the way. For five months, I healed, learned, and felt what it means to be truly cared for.

When I was finally ready, something magical happened. One of my doctors thought I might be the perfect fit for their family — and they were right. I’m officially a home now! I have a canine brother named Archer who’s my favorite playmate and snuggle buddy, two sweet human brothers, a dad who works from home, and a mom who even takes me to work sometimes to help keep my hip strong. These days I go by Maple, and I love family walks, hikes, and curling up with my people. My body is stronger, my heart is full, and my future is bright. Thank you to everyone who helped me heal and find my forever. With love, Maple (formerly Blondie)
