Hi, I’m Carter. I am a little over 5 years old, weigh about 65 pounds, and I am what you might call a gentle soul. I am a quiet, sweet boy who loves going for peaceful walks and just being near my person. I have great house manners (no accidents here!). I walk very nicely on a leash. I enjoy meeting friendly people and other dogs when I am out walking, but I really love coming home to a calm, cozy space. I am not a fan of loud noises, fast movements, or the energy that comes with kids, so I would do best in a home that is steady and quiet. Grown-ups only, please!
My ideal home would be with a single woman, a retired couple, or someone who works from home. I prefer women, but I can warm up to men too, as long as they are patient and kind. I would be happiest as your one and only, but I might be okay with a calm, older dog. And, please, no cats. So, if you have a soft spot for a sensitive, loyal dog who just wants a peaceful place to call home, I would love to meet you. I am ready for a second chance… and maybe a comfy spot on your couch.
