Cooper

My name is Cooper, and I’m a big, lovable golden boy with an even bigger heart. I’m 8 years old and about 100 pounds (working on losing a few).

I recently said a very hard goodbye to my mom, who loved me dearly. Due to health changes, she had to move somewhere I couldn’t go, but she made sure I’d be safe and find a wonderful new home through AGA. I carry that love with me every day.

I’m a friendly, affectionate guy who truly loves being around people… I’ll happily follow you from room to room just to stay close. I’m house-trained, have great house manners, and enjoy having free roam of the home. I do best with someone who is home most of the time, because being near my people is my favorite place to be.

I get along well with other dogs and really need another dog in my home, ideally a calm, easygoing companion. I also do well with cats. I love attention and will gladly soak up all the love you’re willing to give.

I enjoy being outside and exploring, so a fenced yard is a must for me. I can be a strong boy on the leash and get a little excited at times, but with consistency, I’ll continue to improve. Due to my size, we think a home without small kids would be best. My excitement may be too much for little ones.

At heart, I’m a loyal, loving companion who’s ready to settle into a home where I can be close to my people, enjoy the simple things, and be cherished again.
