My name is Fin, and I’m a 5-year-old, 62-pound golden boy looking for a very special family to call my own.

I was purchased from a breeder as a puppy, and after five years with my family, they found they could no longer afford my care. I was returned to my breeder, who has trusted AGA with several of her dogs over the years. Now AGA is helping me find the wonderful home I deserve.

I’ve spent most of my life as an outdoor dog, so I’m still learning what it’s like to be a family dog. I’m very active and can jump surprisingly high, so I need a secure fenced yard and supervision outside. I am also nervous about being left outside again, so I need extra reassurance from my people.

With all this change, I can be a little timid – especially with loud or sudden noises. I’m mostly potty trained, but I am working on it while I adjust. The crate is very scary for me, so I need a patient family who will give me time, love, and plenty of reassurance.

I’m a total velcro boy who loves being close to my people. I’m doing great with other dogs, including small dogs, and I need another dog in my forever home to help me feel safe and confident. I have done great with my foster parents’ cats.

I haven’t been around kids yet, but little ones may be too much for me. I’m also still learning how much fun a walk can be – I even get a little excited when I see my leash now! I am also making great progress with car rides.

I may need a little extra patience, but I’m a sweet boy who really wants to trust and be loved. I’m ready to learn how wonderful life can be with a family of my own. Fluffy tail wags, Fin
