You’ll spot me right away, big smile, a wagging tail, and the brightest 2-year-old eyes you’ve ever seen. Hi, I’m Hoss, a 76-pound sweetheart looking for his fresh start. Life has been a little confusing lately. I came to AGA after something scary happened to me: a couple of dogs attacked me, and ever since then, I get really frightened around other dogs. When I’m afraid, I react… but I’m not a “bad dog,” just a worried one. I’ll need to be your only dog so I can relax and remember what it’s like to just be a dog.
But let me tell you who I am when I’m not worried: I’m a total sweetheart. Bright-eyed, goofy, affectionate, your classic golden boy. I adore kids, I’m polite with cats, and I’m fully potty- and crate-trained. I’ve got plenty of energy and love to stay active. Car rides? Count me in. Swimming? Oh yes, please. Adventure buddy? That’s me.
I just need a loving home that understands that my past does not define me, and that can help me grow my confidence again. If you’ve got room in your heart for a boy who’s been through something tough but still believes the world is full of good people, I promise I’ll meet you with all the love I’ve been saving up. Love, Hoss
