My name is Justine, and I was picked up as a stray by a rural shelter. I was limping, unsure, and somehow ended up on the euthanasia list with only about five days left if no one came for me. But someone did see me, AGA’s intake team saw a video of me and reached out right away. Before I knew it, I was on my freedom ride toward safety.
I’m about 2 years old and weigh 43 pounds. The shelter says I’m dog-friendly, and all I really want is love. If you sit down, I’ll happily curl up in your lap. My transporter even said I was the sweetest transport she’s ever done, and she’s met a lot of dogs. She thinks I might be an English cream mix, but mostly, I’m just a soft-hearted girl who wants to belong.
I’m still settling in, and we’re learning more about me every day. What we do know is that I’m heartworm positive, which means I’ll need treatment to fully heal. AGA is committed to giving me everything I need, but I need some heroes to help along the way. We’re hoping to raise $1,000 for my heartworm treatment, and any donation — big or small — brings me closer to a healthy future. (Click here to donate to her treatment).
I was almost out of time. Now I have hope. Thank you to everyone for helping write the next chapter of my story, one filled with comfort, healing, and love. With gratitude and gentle tail wags, Justine
UPDATE: Thank you to S Major, Anna K, and Patsy V for donating in Category A. And, thank you Rebecca H for donating in Category B. I still need $415 to complete my fundraising goal for my HW+ treatment.
