My name is Poptart Doodle, and I’m a 4-year-old golden doodle who got a second chance thanks to AGA.
Before coming to AGA, I was found as a stray in pretty rough shape. My coat was covered in painful mats and mud that had clearly been weighing me down for a long time. The wonderful shelter staff did their best to shave me and help me feel comfortable again.
Even after everything I’d been through, I never stopped loving people. Everyone I’ve met says I’m a friendly, affectionate boy who soaks up every head scratch, cuddle, and bit of attention.
I especially love snuggling with my people. I LOVE older kids who are ready to play and give me lots of love. With all the change that has been happening, I can be dog selective, but with proper introductions I do great with other dogs.
I’m mostly house-trained, eager to please, and a quick learner, so I know I’ll continue picking up good manners with a little consistency. I already know how to sit, shake, and lie down!
Like many doodles, I can get excited and jump up to say hello, and I’ve discovered that kitchen counters sometimes have interesting things on them, so my forever family will need to help me remember what’s mine and what’s not!
Now that the hard part is behind me, I’m ready for a family who will help me leave my stray days in the past. I’m looking forward to soft beds, regular grooming, lots of love, and never having to wonder where my next meal or cuddle is coming from.
