My name is Sadie, and I’m a 5-year-old, 66 pound, golden girl who’s looking for a fresh start and a family to call my own. I’ve been loved since I was just eight weeks old, but sometimes life gets complicated. I lived with another dog, but I preferred to keep toys and food just for myself. So, my owner made the very difficult decision to let AGA help find me a home that would be a better fit for everyone.

The good news? When it comes to people, I’m an absolute sweetheart. I love adults, I’m friendly with kids, and I’m not protective of my things with humans at all. I’m house trained, sit by the door when I need to go out, and I’m a wonderfully well-mannered girl around the house. My foster says I walk beautifully on the leash and that I’m “brilliantly behaved.”

I still have a lot of energy and love to stay active. Because of this, we think a fenced yard would be best for me. I’m also a big fan of affection. Scratches, tickles, cuddles — yes please! I get excited to see my people and will often bring you my toys to share in the fun. At night, I’m happiest curled up close by, and I’d be more than happy to claim a spot on the bed if you’ll let me.

I’ll need to be the only dog in my home, where I can relax and not feel like I have to protect my things from other fur-siblings. I am good with other dogs when food and toys are not around. I would do best with a family who is home a good amount of the time so we can enjoy each other’s company.

What I’m really looking for now is a calm, loving home where I can be your one-and-only pup. I promise to bring loyalty, affection, and a whole lot of sweetness into your life. With love and happy tail wags, Sadie
