Scout – HW+ Sponsored

My name is Scout, and I’m a 1-year-old boy who’s finally getting a chance at the life every dog deserves.

I’m an affectionate, gentle boy who absolutely loves attention. My favorite place to be is right by your side. I’ll happily lean in for pets, hand out kisses, and soak up all the love you’re willing to give. My tail seems to have a mind of its own and is usually wagging whenever people are around.

You would never believe that I was found wandering in South GA with two other dogs, Blazer and Steele. We were in terrible condition – just trying to survive. Thankfully, AGA rescued us, and despite everything, I never stopped loving people.

I take treats gently, walk great on a leash, love to give kisses, and I even know how to sit! Overall, I am a well-mannered boy who is gentle and gets along great with other dogs. I would love to have a dog friend in my forever home. I do not require a fence, but if you do have one, it needs to be at least 6ft tall. 

I may not be golden in looks, but I do for sure have a golden heart. And, unfortunately, that golden heart is heartworm positive. This means I’ll need treatment before I can put my past completely behind me. Thankfully, I have some amazing sponsors who donated to get my heart healthy again.

What I’m looking for now is a family who will take me through my HW+ treatment. I need my family to live a max of 40 minutes from the vet located in the Buckhead area.

I would love a family that sees not where I came from, but where I’m going. I’ve survived the hard part. I’m ready to spend the rest of my life being someone’s best friend. With kisses and a constantly wagging tail, Scout
