My name is Shimmer, and I’m a 6.5-year-old golden girl with a heart full of hope.
I came to AGA alongside my lifelong companions, Dalton and Finny. After the person who loved us passed away, we were moved to a neighbor where we spent our days living in an outside barn with very little human attention. Life became very quiet, but we never gave up hope that someone would see us.
Thankfully, AGA did.
I’m about 85 pounds and need to lose a few pounds. I’m looking for most is a family that will make me feel like I belong again. I’m ready to trade barn life for soft beds, belly rubs, and being part of a family.
I am great with other dogs, and I absolutely love to play fetch! The only thing I ask is for a home without cats. Everything else is a new adventure, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
