Hi, I’m Simba, a one-year-old golden guy weighing about 73 pounds. I am just a big body with a tender heart. I came into the shelter as a stray with two other Goldens, and at first, everything felt overwhelming. I was shy and unsure, but the staff noticed something special — no aggression, just uncertainty — and they were right.
As I’ve spent more time with gentle people, my Golden personality has started to peek through. I am a sweet boy who is friendly with other dogs and loves to be by my people. My dream home would have another dog, a fenced yard, and someone who is home more often than not.
Unfortunately, I am heartworm positive and will need treatment, which AGA is helping coordinate. Thanks to three generous donors listed below, I raised all the funds I need to help me get better and start my new life strong and healthy.
I’m looking for a calm, understanding home that will help take me through my treatment, and who will continue to build confidence. With time, patience, and love, I know I’ll become the devoted companion I was always meant to be. With hope, Simba
