It’s me, Tulip Pup! But these days, I go by Gracie. My journey started a little differently than most puppies. I came down with something called Puppy Strangles when I was very young. That meant I couldn’t be sold with my littermates, and instead, I spent two long months living all alone in a kennel. I was scared, lonely, and not sure what life had in store for me. But then, AGA got the call that changed everything. They said “yes” to me, and before I knew it, I was being whisked away by a kind volunteer and her mom, who even let me sleep in the bed during our very first night together. From there, I was off to Atlanta, where my foster mom was waiting with open arms.

At first, I was terrified of other dogs… I barked, I growled, and I thought I had to protect myself. My foster was so patient, gently introducing me to her calm, kind dog. Slowly, I realized that not all dogs would hurt me. In fact… they could be friends. With lots of love, I turned the corner and discovered what it feels like to trust again. And then, the best part of all: I met my forever family. Now, as Gracie, I have a family who adores me, a safe home to grow up in, and a future filled with love instead of fear. From lonely beginnings to a brand-new name and family, life is so, so sweet. Love, Gracie (formerly Tulip Pup).
