Dear Friends of Adopt A Golden Atlanta,

As the 4th of July approaches, I want to wish you a safe and joyful holiday! While this is a time for celebration, it’s also important to remember that fireworks can be frightening and even dangerous for our pets.

Fireworks & Pet Safety Tips

If your dog struggles with anxiety during loud noises, now is the time to speak with your vet about medications or calming aids. Please don’t wait until the last minute. On the holiday itself, make sure your pets are indoors, microchipped, and have current ID tags. A quiet, safe space can make a big difference.

With Gratitude

To our amazing volunteers, fosters, adopters, and supporters—thank you! Your dedication keeps our mission going strong, and we are so grateful for all you do to give Golden Retrievers the second chances they deserve.

Save the Date: Golden Gala 2026!

We’re thrilled to announce that our next Golden Gala will be held on May 1, 2026 at the Atlanta History Center! It’s going to be an unforgettable evening, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you. Stay tuned for more details!

Wishing you and your furry companions a safe and peaceful Independence Day.

With heartfelt appreciation,

Patti Dickey
