Dear AGA Family,
We have some important and exciting news to share about a leadership transition at Adopt a Golden Atlanta.
After years of unwavering dedication and an incredible journey leading AGA to become one of the most respected Golden Retriever rescues in the country, our founder, Lauren Genkinger, is stepping into an emeritus role on our Board of Directors. While she is retiring from day-to-day leadership, she will continue to provide invaluable guidance and support.
Lauren’s vision, passion, and tireless commitment have saved thousands of Goldens and touched countless lives—both human and canine. Her legacy is one of love, determination, and an unshakable mission to give every Golden a second chance. We are forever grateful for the foundation she has built and the community she has created.
As we turn the page to this next chapter, we are thrilled to announce that Patti Dickey will be stepping into the role of President of AGA. Patti has been an integral part of our organization for years and brings both leadership and a deep commitment to our mission. Under her guidance, AGA will continue to thrive and uphold the values that make our rescue so special.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to Lauren for her incredible leadership and to all of you for your continued support. Because of this community, AGA remains strong, and together, we will keep making a difference in the lives of Goldens in need.
With gratitude,
The Adopt a Golden Atlanta Team
