UPDATE: Abbie was rushed to the emergency vet clinic last night 2/12/13. She basically crashed and after tests, it was determined she had hemangiosarcoma and was bleeding internally. There was nothing that could be done for her. She is with all the special AGA orphans and adoptees who have left us. Thank you the Wells Family and MC for sponsoring Abbie and helping pay her medical bills. BACKGROUND: I am a 8 year old girl that used to live with a family. I have perfect house manners, know some commands and like dogs and kids. I never had a cat so I don’t know if they could be friends or not. Well, here’s what happened. My family took me to the dog doctor and they were told I had two stones in my bladder and needed surgery. I don’t know how the stones got there. I didn’t eat them or anything. I wouldn’t do that. Anyway, the next thing I knew was that my family just walked away and left me there. I was so scared because they said to just “put her down”. Dogs know what that means and it’s a terrible thing to hear. My doctor said, “Nope- not this girl– we’ll call AGA and ask for help. Don’t worry, Abbie- everything will be OK.” And now it will be because AGA said, “Sure, Abbie can come stay with us after her surgery and we’ll find her a home. We will even raise the money for her surgery – it will cost $650 so I need some kind people to give me some money.” They told me not to worry. I was being fixed on Monday whether they had money or not. Thank goodness, they said yes, even though I’m not a golden retriever- I’m pretty close! Maybe you would like a nice yellow lab girl in your home. I’m gonna need a new family- could you be the one? Love you , Abbie Lab
