Meet Alabama Jack… a wonderful, handsome male golden who was in a rural Alabama shelter. The golden rescue in Alabama asked if we could take him into our program because they were full. Even though we are busting at the seams, we never turn down a purebred golden. So with the help of some wonderful volunteers in Alabama and in Georgia, he arrived and is safe. Contrary to the photo, he does not have a hand growing under his chin but he does now have a forever home. Alabama Jack was adopted by a great family who lost their senior golden last year and finally felt they were ready to open their home and their hearts to another golden guy. The fell in love with AJ instantly and knew he was their man. Jack now has a mom who works part time from home so she’ll be around to give him lots of attention, a dad who loves to play ball, and two kids, Melanie who’s in college but comes home for visits, and Andrew who’s 17. Jack is so happy to finally be a family dog. He told us he’s always wanted a back yard and kids of his own. He didn’t say much about cats but now that Jack share’s the house with 3 of them, Ollie, Mocha, and Alice, he thinks they’re pretty cool. Oh and Alabama Jack has officially changed his name to Georgia Jack- he plans on staying forever!
