Well, I lost my home. I lived there since I was l year old and now I am 5. Mostly I lived outside and learned to really hate being alone and when it stormed I got so scared. The only thing I knew to do was to try and get out of that fence and find help so I learned to dig under it or climb over and I even learned to lift the latch on the gate. Talk about determined! It just goes to show you that Goldens like me are not only smart but do NOT like to be alone and I kept trying to show everybody that but… anyway- here I was. I lived with some older children and another dog and we all got along fine- I was even o.k. with cats. I had always wanted to be an inside dog and I learned good house manners so that was not a problem. I had my AGA check up and received the bad news that I had heartworms. That happens when a dog doesn’t get the medicine they need every month. Someone really nice paid for my treatment ($500) and I was so grateful to Cathy Johnson. She is a very kind lady. I went to my foster home where I stayed inside and was pampered during my treatment. I really wanted to play with my 2 new pals Sneaker and Chief but my foster mom said I needed to stay quiet during treatment but soon could play. My foster mom says I was so easy going and just about perfect she knew I found my forever home. My name is now Hank and I have a work from home mom, 2 other dogs to play with, a big fenced in yard, and even a swimming pool! I am one lucky boy!
