My new mom waited and waited and waited for me and I waited and waited and waited for her! She picked me out before she ever met me! The people in Turkey found me on the street and I was so hungry and sick and I was afraid I would have to go back there but, instead, they gave me a bath and my own dish of food and got me ready to go on an airplane ride to Atlanta. We think I am about 8 years old but we don’t know for sure. Most dogs don’t get to be 8 living on the street – it’s a very hard life. When I first got her two very nice people sponsored me. Their names are Sharon and Ray Donohue, They love goldens and help them a lot!! Thank you my kind friends! Now I live in the country with a brother dog and two sister dogs. We all get along just fine. I don’t understand about ball playing and I’m not too good at walking on the leash thing but I am excellent about riding in a car and I love to meet new people! My favorite things are getting brushed, having snacks, going in and out the back door and cheeseburgers. Sometimes I put my head in mom’s lap and look at her and she knows that means “thank you for waiting for me”. Now I really am as American as Apple Pie!!!! Lots of love, Apple
