Arden, a 7 year old female golden, was a former AGA dog. Her adopted parents returned Arden because she was showing lots of anxiety. After an evaluation at the vet and in a foster home, we determined that most of Arden’s anxiety had been a learned behavior. Once Arden was placed in a new environment with lots of company and stimulation, her anxiety substantially decreased. Arden’s issues with anxiety continue to lessen and now she has a new home in Alabama and a wonderful new mom who knows just how to care for her. Arden’s new mom has had owned two goldens in the passed. Her most recent girl was put to sleep this year and mom desperately missed having a golden retriever attached to her hip. So mom, her two Pembroke Welsh Corgis, one Norwhich terrier, and their feline sister finally decided it was time to open their home, and their hearts, to another golden. Arden proved to be their perfect girl. The whole family has pledged to show Arden the ropes of her new home and give her tons of love, attention, and affection. Arden’s tail is already wagging and we know, in no time, all her fears will be put to rest because she has finally found her forever home.
