My name is Bailey, and I’m a 1-year-old golden girl who weighs about 64 pounds. I have a gentle heart that’s learning it’s finally safe to shine.

Life changed quickly when my owner could no longer afford to care for me, and I found myself in a busy shelter. It was loud, unfamiliar, and scary, so I stayed quiet and kept to myself.

Then AGA came. When their volunteers spent a little quiet time with me, I finally felt safe enough to wag my tail… and even give a few kisses. The very next day, I officially became part of the AGA family. I rode beautifully in the car, walked nicely on a leash, and even enjoyed my very first pup cup!

I’m a timid girl who startles easily at loud noises, so I’m looking for a quiet, patient home without small children where I can continue building my confidence at my own pace. The good news is that once I warm up, I’m incredibly sweet and affectionate. I’m also house-trained and have been doing great with my manners.

We’re still learning how I feel about other dogs and cats, so those are unknowns for now. What I need most is someone who will move slowly with me, celebrate my little victories, and help me discover just how safe and loved I can be.

I may be a little shy today, but I have a feeling my best days are still ahead of me… and I’d love to share them with you. With hopeful tail wags, Bailey
