How do you do? I was a 2 yr. old, boy, Golden Retriever and I hailed from Alabama. My family was hearing a lot of neighbors grumbling because I was barking in the backyard. You would think after all the many, many, many explanations we Goldens have given for such behavior that the whole world would know the reason for this. But I’ll repeat, WE HATE TO BE LEFT ALONE! Goldens know they have a job to do and that’s to be a friend and companion to humans. That’s easy to understand, right? So my family sent me to AGA knowing they didn’t have the time to spend with me and so there I was looking for a new address and a family who wanted to give me plenty of attention. I had some great help from my foster who showed me how to walk on a leash, to sit really still for brushing time, and how to get along good with well behaved dogs, cats and kids. One thing about those lessons was that I like them all! While at Adoption Day I met another foster that thought I would be a perfect fit for their family. I now have 2 Chihuahua brothers and great parents that won’t leave us along for more than a couple hours so no more barking for me!
