I barely remember the 8 years before I came to AGA but I know my owner died and I was left without a home. Some of the other family people helped me to get to AGA which really saved my life. So now my life begins, after more care and help than I can even keep in my head! Thanks to all my AGA friends and especially my foster dad, I am a new dog today with a new family. I still have to take my medicine to keep me healthy but the worst is over and now I am going to enjoy life with my new dad and mom and my two kids, my golden sister and 3 cat friends. Mom stays home all day and boy, we have some good times planned like walks and car rides and playing ball and all things dogs love! I am feeling kind of sad about leaving my foster dad because he is the one that got me this far but I always knew a family of my own was what we were both working for and so everything has turned out OK. I think I’ll get my new dad to help me write him a letter and tell him I think of him everyday. When I first got here they told me I was the “Anniversary Dog” because I was the number 2500 orphan. That’s a lot of orphans isn’t it who came before me? I’ll bet there will be many more after me. The ones that haven’t come yet don’t know it but they will be the luckiest goldens ever- just like me! A million thanks , your friend Barney.
