Baylee is an 18 month old female purebred golden retriever who lived near Asheville, NC and her former owner asked us to take her. She was very loved by her owner who was forced to give her up for Baylee’s own safety. There were mentally challenged adults in their home and having a dog in the home was causing a problem. Baylee is your typical 18 month old GR who loves her humans and is especially fond of children. She is full life and melts all hearts of people that she meets. However, she required a special home, dedicated to keeping Baylee well. She has Megaesaphogus (ME)disease. She regurgitates her food if special pre-cautions are not taken. She has her own special chair, ironically called the Bailey Chair, to help. She eats in her chair and after she eats, she just relaxes in her chair for 15 minutes to make sure gravity does it’s job. She is very patient and LOVES to be in her chair – as she gets rewarded with peanut butter and cheese whiz. And now we are passing the torch of caring for our Baylee on to her new family. Initially mom went slow and had several meetings with Baylee’s foster mom in effort to make certain that she could meet Baylee’s needs. Now mom and Baylee have both agreed that the fit is a slice of perfection! Baylee will now be an only child spoiled rotten with toys and will sleep with mom. These two are going to live a glorious golden life together!
