My advice today is “always keep an open mind”. That’s what my dad did when he was sure he needed a “young” dog but found he couldn’t stop thinking of me! He kept thinking, “old dogs are good for the soul”. Now I am a city dog and dad stays home to work and keeps me company. We are pals! Sometimes what you think you are looking for turns out to be just the opposite. So don’t count us “seniors” out when it comes to getting a new dog.
