Biscuit is a 2 ½ year old AKC female Golden Retriever from North Carolina. Biscuit was brought to our attention by our friends at the North Carolina golden rescue. Biscuit had been living on a 12 by 14 ft deck and was scared of adult humans. It seems her owner’s didn’t know what they had gotten themselves into and couldn’t handle the situation with her so they left her to eat, sleep and potty on this deck. The oldest child tried his hardest to walk her but like many children would forget a lot of times. Biscuit is a very sweet and loving dog but needed some training to learn to trust people again. She loves children and will gravitate to them before adults — a sign that she simply wasn’t treated well by adults. Her foster family worked hard with her and she made a lot progress. She learned how to fetch and loves other dogs. Biscuit is now housetrained too! She was adopted by a great women that is active and loves to play and take long walks. She will have her boyfriends dog to play with along with all her friends dogs. The new owner worked with our trainer at Canine Assistants to make sure the transition to her new home would be smooth and will continue the great work of the foster.
