This is Biscuit Bea – a 3 year old female golden. Biscuit Bea came from Alabama. A family got her from another family who had to give her up. The new family had a small dog and a cat. The small dog didn’t like Biscuit Bea and then Biscuit Bea didn’t like the cat. They tried for six weeks to make it work and just couldn’t. We said we would take her and find her a good home. One of our volunteer’s father was in Alabama on business this week so he said he would bring her over to Atlanta. That was his downfall. Halfway into the trip, Biscuit Bea had successfully nuzzled and licked her way into his heart. His biggest problem was to figure out how he could convince his wife they needed a second dog. Well, he still had the rest of the trip to figure that out. It was easier than he thought. He just let Biscuit Bea put on her charms like she did with him. Wife was won over pretty quickly but Duke, the lab had to be the final decision maker. Suffice it to say that Duke is smitten. He is so in love with this girl…. who will be renamed Lucy cause Dad always wanted to say “I love Lucy”. Moral of the story, if you want to fall in love – drive to Alabama and back.
