Bissli(pronounced Bees-ly) is a 7 year old female golden former AGA dog Sallie. She was found roaming around Alabama with a blue collar on with Sallie written on it in magic marker. Nothing else. She was adopted by a family with three kids last year and renamed Bissli and was loved by all. Unfortunately in the past year the couple divorced and the Bissli went with mom and the kids. She recently moved to a new house and everything was fine, still loved by mom and the 3 kids. One day Bissli was in the SUV just coming back from a ride (she loves to ride in the car) and she suddenly jumped out. She chased down something small– a rabbit? A cat? A squirrel? No, it was the next door neighbor’s toy poodle who weighs all of 3 pounds. The poodle was also off leash and Bissli thought she had a new plush toy and shook and shook her new “toy”. The poodle was injured and the neighbors were furious with the new neighbor and demanded that she “get rid of that vicious dog”. Knowing there would be no way to live right next door to the toy poodle and the furious neighbor she asked us to take Bissli back. When we picked Bissli up she was as sweet and loving as we remembered and had no problem at all finding a new wonderful home. Her new family are previous adopters-fosters that came back to us for another addition to their family. Bissili was their girl! Connor, her new golden brother was also smitten by Bissili so the rest is history. Her new mom works part time and dad works full time. She will have a fenced yard and a life time of love and a huge understanding of the golden breed.
