I’m 5 and used to be kind of a shy boy when I first got here. My family left me at a shelter. I got scared. Then some people helped me to get to AGA. I was still kind of scared but things started to look a little better every day. First a nice dog doctor listened to my chest. I did good at breathing. Then I got shots. That sort of hurt but not enough to cry. The doctor said I needed some more food to get just a little bigger ’cause I’m only 54 pounds (I didn’t think that was bad for a short guy but I am glad to eat more). Then I was all done and they said – “Good Bowser- you are very healthy and very brave”. No one ever told me before that I was brave. That helped me be not so shy. So I decided to see how things would go if I tried to be friendly and you know what- it was great! I got so much attention and I liked it! Right now I’m still, at first, not sure about meeting new people but I get over that in a minute. Actually, I am a pretty popular guy and that is a good feeling. Now I’m needing a new home with some people who really, really want a fellow who really, really wants a place of his own. It’s fun meeting all the new people but I want some that will keep me forever. Your new friend -Bowser UPDATE 7/24/12 – Bowser went into kidney and liver failure before he found his new family. He was loved very much by his foster family and finally knew what love felt like. R.I.P. Sweet Boy.
