Meet Breaker – a beautiful 8 month old male golden retriever. He was found as a stray and after his stray hold time was up at the County Animal Control, we got the call asking us to come get him. They did not have a picture to send so we went to the shelter hoping he was a golden retriever, and he is! The staff was so glad when we got there because he had quickly become a favorite and they didn’t want him to spend one more minute in the stressful shelter. And now he won’t – in fact, he’ll be spending every minute of his golden future at home with his new family! Mom and dad absolutely loved Breaker at their first meeting. He was the guy for them and they didn’t want to meet anymore dogs. They are very experienced dog owners and have missed having a golden in their house. Now their hearts (along with Breaker’s) are happy again. Breaker who is now Jake will get plenty of training and exercise. They also have a house in Hilton Head with a pool. Jake will get to travel with them every 2 weeks and will have a lot of fun swimming in the pool. Even better, mom is partially retired so he will have plenty of love and companionship. Sometimes good things really are worth the wait!
