This is Brody. He is a 4 year old purebred male golden who came to us with a few problems. He was found lying in a ditch in North Georgia – a victim of a hit and run accident. He had a swollen front leg and could not walk well at all. We took him directly to the emergency hospital. Once there, we got the bad news. Brody had to have hip surgery (a FHO) to repair his hip. His front leg was swollen due to a bite that was infected – we think it was a snake bite. Brody also had demedox, a skin infection, and had heartworms and needed neutered. Through the efforts of his many, many sponsors Brody is now doing well. This boy is a wonderful stoic golden who has endured pain beyond imagination yet he still loves people, especially his foster family – now his forever family. Mom and dad helped Brody along his journey to recovery and along the way he won their hearts. Now Brody is nearly through with his heartworm treatment and report that Brody is a dream dog. While the road to his family was a little bumpy it is paved with gold from here on out.
