Bubba is a 4 year old male golden retriever from Alabama (where else?). He is a beautiful boy who was passed around in the last few weeks. His first owners gave him to a family who was wonderful and everything until his very high prey drive encouraged him to catch one of the cats and kill it. Unfortunately with that he couldn’t stay on the farm so a small rescue was contacted who then contacted us. After just a few short weeks we found this country boy a new home! His new family are previous adopters of Bella Amora back in January and are a great match for Bubba. He also keeps his twangy name name as a tribute to PGA golfer Bubba Watson, a Florida native and UGA alum. Bubba, the golfer, is well known for his long drives and furry Bubba had his own long drive to his new home in Tallahassee. He’ll now have two new human siblings, ages 9 & 11, two wonderful parents, his new furry sister, Bella, and a live-in nanny to shower him with attention, playtime and loving care. Could it get any better than this???

We only had the pleasure of having Bubba in our home for 8 days, but he touched our hearts and made us laugh with his signature after-meal burps. He told us to pass along his appreciation to all the AGA volunteers who rescued him, transported him from Alabama and took care of him. He’s finally going to have his own forever family to love.

We have taken a few goldens from them in the past so they asked us to take Bubba. He definitely needs to go to a home with no cats and probably no small dogs just to be safe! He does love kids and is fabulous around them. Bubba is healthy and ready for his new home.
