Buddy 10 is a wonderful purebred male golden retriever who just turned 10 years old in October. Buddy 10 is what you would think a perfect 10 Golden would be. This sweet boy was turned in my his owner because he was moving and could not take Buddy with him. He just loves attention and back scratches. In fact, when you scratch the right spot, his back legs start moving along. He joined us a good while ago but we were patient (and so was he)! As an older guy with a few health challenges (bad hips, low thyroid) and a desire to rule the toys and the dog food in any household, Buddy posed a few challenges but we knew we would find his perfect match. Then they came – a wonderful retired couple who actually put this description on their application that they were seeking “old, laid back, housebroken, quiet, sleeps a lot.” And though Buddy is pretty peppy for a ten year old guy, he certainly fit the description. When they met they were smitten. He is now home with stay with two full-time companions and no one to challenge his first-place dog status. He can have the toys and the kibble
first every time! The golden years at his new home are going to shine even more brightly now that Buddy is home to stay!
