Buddy, an 18 month old purebred male golden, lived with a family who said he got too big (he is a medium-sized golden). They complained he dug holes in the yard but he was left alone in the backyard bored out of his mind and had nothing else to do. He was great with kids. Buddy just needed a buddy! And that’s what we got him. A wonderful family who had recently lost their golden was looking for a small, calm, female golden to adopt. Well, this story shows that you should keep an open mind when adopting a golden. Buddy was certainly not a female and certainly not calm…. but he stole their hearts. Buddy is their constant companion and is now a UGA fan since his sister is a bulldog (not the dog, the student kind).
