This is Buddy – our first Buddy of 2008. Buddy will be 5 years old in March. Buddy has a wonderful pedigree and has his papers to prove it. Buddy is wonderful with everyone… is great with children and other dogs. His owners gave him up because they couldn’t spend any time with him. Buddy is trained as well. He is almost perfect but Buddy has one big problem. He is very overweight – in fact, he weighs 145 pounds and must lose 55 pounds. His foster family reports that he has energy and is now getting diet food and exercise. HE HAS LOST 10 POUNDS IN ONLY 2 WEEKS SO FAR!Suprisingly, Buddy can go up and down stairs. The family who adopts Buddy will have to commit to his weight loss — and make it a goal to get the weight off so Buddy can live a long life. The weight he is carrying is compromising his health. It won’t be easy but what a wonderful reward you will get everyday that you see Buddy get thinner right before your eyes and know you are saving his life. Buddy has been adopted and he’s sure to shed those extra pounds in no time. He has great new dad, a stay at home mom, and 2 kids to chase around. Oh and let’s not forget his new crabby friends – 3 hermit crabs. His new home is a golden’s haven. It’s just across the street from the park and he has a pool right in the backyard! It’s sure to be a great, wet summer full of golden days!
