Buddy is a 5 year old purebred male golden who came from Mississippi with his canine family member, Sandie Rose Bloom, when their elderly parents could no longer care for them. These dogs have their AKC papers and have great temperaments. Unfortunately, the shelter in Mississippi was overcrowded and the day we rescued them over 30 dogs were put down…it’s a true miracle that these sweet dogs were saved for us. A wonderful volunteer from Mississippi stepped in to help, she personally boarded them and then drove them to Birmingham to meet us. Talk about a really nice lady. We decided that it was best for Sandie and Buddy to carve their own paths and now they have both been adopted. He is now an official member of a really grrreffic family. His new family consists of Grandma and Grandpa, a retiree and housewife, Mama, their daughter who is also a teacher, and two Granddaughters, one 10 and one 13. Grandma is quite active, so Buddy will get lots of cardio exercise. The kids are completely smitten with Mr. Buddy…and they LOVE the fact that he loves tennis balls as much as they love throwing them! In addition, Buddy’s new sisters had already purchased him new toys, a new collar, and a new leash that were waiting for him once he got there. Happy New Year, Buddy! Here’s to your fresh start!
