Bunsen Berner

Hi, I’m Bunsen Berner, but my new family calls me Bear—and I like it! My journey to finding a forever home was a little unexpected. I was found as a stray, but it was clear I had once been someone’s well-loved pet. Even though no one came to claim me, AGA stepped up and took me in even though I am not a golden.  They made sure I was safe and found me a foster home where I could start to feel comfortable again. It took me a little time to warm up, but with patience and love, I began to trust the people around me. Then, the Newcome family came along at just the right time. After recently saying goodbye to their second golden, they were ready to welcome another furry family member. Now, I have a beautiful fenced yard, a pool I can swim in whenever I’m ready, and even a tiny human (a 3.5-year-old grandson!) who I get to be gentle and sweet with. I’m still adjusting, but every day, I feel a little more at home. I even gave my new mom a kiss and leaned on her for support when I met some neighborhood dogs. I think I’m exactly where I’m meant to be—thank you to everyone who helped me find my way! Love, Bear
