Butter

Hey there, I’m Butter, and no, I’m not made of actual butter, but I am soft, sweet, and guaranteed to make your heart melt. My life so far has been filled with love. My person was a college student who cared for me deeply, but when they got accepted to school overseas, they knew I deserved a stable, forever home here. So now I’m with AGA, and I’m ready to meet my new family! I’m around 6 years old, 70 pds, house-trained, and a true gentleman when left alone, that I don’t even need a crate!

I’ve got a calm, loving personality, but don’t let that fool you! I still love toys, walks, and the occasional squirrel chase in the yard. (Hey, a guy’s gotta have hobbies.) I know commands like “sit,” “paw,” and “down,” and I come when called… especially if treats are involved. I’m great with people and enjoy meeting new friends. I’d do well as an only dog or with an older, chill pup companion. I do get excited sometimes and may jump when playing, so I’d prefer a home without tiny kids. No idea about cats… but if they’re anything like squirrels, I might want to chase!  If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate buddy with the perfect mix of mellow and playful, I think we’d be a great match.
