Candy, our special needs dog, was ready to to find her forever home after finishing her heartworm treatment and spaying. We had to find someone very special to adopt this very special dog. Candy was found tied to an old junker car with 5 new born pups. She had no food or water. She was in terrible shape and we lost all of her pups. After recovering, we found this 3 year old to be energetic, friendly, good with kids, dogs and cats. She also had a huge capacity for love and we knew she would be a loyal companion for life. Well, you know when something is meant to be? Candy’s new Mom was one of her guardian angels who helped give her the medical care she needed. She had felt something in her heart from the first day she saw those eyes and heard her story. Candy went home to her new Mom and found out she has a new lab brother and a cat sister. From the first moment Candy’s paws stepped into the house, everyone just knew how special Candy was. They welcomed her with open paws and are fast becoming best friends. But the very special angel in Candy’s life is her new Mom. We have never met a person who is kinder. She truly earned her angel wings in our book and when we spoke to Candy, she agreed. We think the smile on her face gave it away! Oh, and rumors have it that Candy may be getting a new name – Snuggles — since that’s her favorite pasttime beside eating. Thank you Angel Lady.
