Cassie is a 2 year old female golden who hadn’t really been trained much so she was on the wild side. Her former family was about to have their first baby and realized Cassie would probably be too much for the baby and didn’t have the time to train her before the baby came. So Cassie came into our program and maybe stayed one day. You see, a wonderful family had just lost Lucky, a great dog they had adopted from us last year. Lucky was found to have MS and it was very sad. They were very sad — and then we introduced them to Cassie. They fell in love and knew Cassie could fill the whole in their hearts. They said, compared to Lucky, Cassie was a well-trained golden machine so the training wasn’t going to be an issue. Plus, Cassie decided to show them how smart she really was and is mastering all the new commands. Let’s just say, Cassie set the record for number of days being an Orphan: 1. She is now concentrating on setting the record of being the best the dog ever.
