Meet Chadwick (or Chad as he likes to be called). Chad will soon be 5 years old. He is a purebred male golden who had had a rotten life. He had lived all his life outside next to a garbage can. He would wander the neighborhood and take everyone’s newspapers and take them back to his garbage can and lay on them — we guess it was his bed. When Chad first moved into his current Foster home, he did not know what treats or toys were. He didn’t really trust people at first. But after 6 weeks, the improvements have been unbelieveable. Chad is now housebroken, crate trained, walks great on a leash and is a very loveable companion. He still needs time to continue improving his manners. Chad was looking for a forever home that would have patience and TLC during the transition period. A family from North Carolina spotted Chad and came down to visit him. The teen boy was looking for a dog that would be his best friend. He was willing to really work with Chad. We thought they would be perfect and they did too. Today Chad lives in North Carolina with his boy, him Mom and Dad, his sister cocker Bailey and Scotty, the bird. Last we heard, Chad had his own bed and it’s not made from old newspapers!
