I’m a 9 year old fellow and I’ve always had a home and family and even a cat (which I really liked)! Now I don’t have any of those things anymore- not even my cat. It’s a sad story because I am so confused and I miss my bed and my dish and all the things I used to do with my family. The reason I had to leave is that one day the little kid that lived there jumped right on top of me when I was asleep! It surprised me for sure but what was worse it hurt me a lot! I hadn’t been able to tell any one but I had been feeling something that was hurting down where my tail grows. I couldn’t turn my head that far around to see what it was but it hurt a lot! So, when all of a sudden, something so heavy fell on me and I woke up hurting even more then I couldn’t help but jump up and try to bite something. That’s when the little boy got in the way. It’s not something dogs do on purpose – it’s just something we do to protect ourselves. And when we are sound asleep and hurting besides we can’t even think fast enough to stop ourselves. It doesn’t mean we are bad dogs. I was really sorry but no matter how much I tried to show it, I still had to go. Now AGA is taking care of me and my new doctor is helping me by trying to find out what is hurting so much. It’s some kind of a lump that is as big as a tennis ball and it has something called “infection:” in it. Infections really hurt! I’ve been brave when they stuck needles in me and I’m being good about taking my medicine. Now we have to wait to see if I get better. Would you cross your fingers for me and ask your dogs to cross their paws that I will be well soon? I’m pretty discouraged but I try to remember I am getting help now. It makes me feel so much better that everyone says that all of my sad story was not my fault and that I am a good boy. Thank you for reading about me.
