Charlie

You might remember me as Rumba Pup. I was adopted through AGA as a puppy, at just 11 weeks old, but now, at 15 months old, I find myself searching for a new forever home. My family selflessly returned me because they knew they could not give me the time and attention I truly deserved. I am incredibly sweet and such a good boy, I just need the right family that will teach me the manners I need to be an awesome dog! I need some more training around kids, so for now, a home without them would probably be best. I have not been for a playdate yet with other dogs, so I am unsure how I would do with them. I do well with cats… though I occasionally annoy them when they won’t play tug with me.  And guess what? I am house-trained. I still have a few puppy tendencies, like bouncing around and not giving up a ball/toy when asked because I’d rather play tug, but can you blame me? Life is fun, and I just want to share my joy with you!

I do have a few little quirks (as we all do): I was never crate trained, and loading in the car is taking time for me to get comfortable with (though once in the car, I ride just fine). I know with time, patience, and love, I will become the golden companion you will love and cherish. What I need most is a family that will make me a priority, include me in their daily lives, and help me feel safe and secure. A busy family will not be the best fit for me, but if you work from home or have the time to be active with me, I will be your most loyal adventure buddy. I promise to love you with my whole heart. And I promise to be the best, most loyal friend you could ever ask for, Charlie
