Meet Chauncey, a wonderful 6 year old male purebred golden. Chauncey’s owner had to move and could no longer take care of him. Chauncey is extremely thin and needs put on 20 pounds but he is well on his way. When his new family adopted him they had a little concern about his age and initial inactivity – but after returning home on Christmas Eve all of their concerns were dismissed. Chauncey was bouncy, active and full of life because he had eaten his own Christmas “dinner” – all the Holiday sweets… a couple of pound cakes, a pie, and cookies. After a trip to the emergency room at midnight his family decided that he was home to stay. In fact, they report that they can’t imagine their home without him. Chauncey’s new parents work but mom is a teacher at a school about one mile from their home and she gets lots of breaks and the summer off. He also has a 17 year old boy and another boy off at college. And finally, Chauncey has a huge fenced yard with his very own swimming pool (well, he might share with his new family). He can’t wait to teach them how to swim!
